Sunday worship begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
What to Expect
Expect St. Luke to be a place of sanctuary and safety.
Expect St. Luke to be a school of love.
Expect to be sent forth to serve.
We offer a casual, come as you are atmosphere. Some folks prefer to dress up, while others prefer more casual clothes, while still others attend in their work uniforms, either on their way to or from work.
Our worship is active with congregational responses and readings, called liturgy, as well as congregational hymns sung from hymnals and occasionally a large screen. During worship, there is usually a corporate response. It can look like public art, or written responses, or lighting candles, or even a shared meal like holy communion. Participate as you feel comfortable. No one will ever be turned away from the communion table and everyone is welcome.
Our worship is dynamic, shifting to reflect the needs of our community and our Christian calendar. For high and holy days, including Christmas Eve and Easter, you may even hear our three stave Mueller pipe organ used during worship. Our weekly worship music is varied. We are blessed to have Bill Hackler, a trained jazz pianist, and Matthew Dean, a trained choral conductor and talented singer, leading music in worship. Both bring their influences of multiple styles of music to bear on our services in amazing and marvelous ways. For more info or to join the choir, email music@stlukechatt.org
Our worship is inclusive. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate in and even lead in our worship service. We celebrate children in the present life of the church. Nursery is offered for children age newborn through 2nd grade. You are also welcome to keep your children with you in worship without fear of judgement or condemnation. Fore more info, email families@stlukechatt.org
All are welcome in our worship services. All means all. Questions, doubts, hopes, and dreams are always welcome…no strings attached.
During Covid-19 our priority is to keep you safe!
Once we are able to resume in person worship, here is what you can expect. You can also watch online worship on our Youtube channel.
