To meet the needs of our community related to Covid-19 and Hamilton County Schools reopening plan, by providing school-age childcare, grades 1st – 8th, for working parents who choose Option #1 and Option #2 of the HCS fall semester plan and to alleviate the burden of having to find independent care.
Just like seeds, children need the right conditions to thrive and grow. We believe that every child can reach their highest potential in a safe and nurturing environment. Our child-centered approach focuses on fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence as they navigate their online classroom and work through their school assignments.
Curriculum + Care
Your child will be following their specific school and classroom schedule with assignments from their teacher. Seedlings staff will serve as an additional resource to help them get signed into their device and be available for additional academic questions to help them succeed. Seedlings staff will also provide ample opportunities for children to interact with their peers in a safe, sanitized, and socially distanced environment.
To ensure each child has the attentive care they need throughout the day, we take staffing ratios seriously. In addition to staffing to the student-teacher ratio requirements of the state of Tennessee, Seedlings also adheres to the Safe Sanctuaries policies of the United Methodist Church, providing at least two teachers for every class, regardless of class size and an open door policy for all classrooms.
At Seedlings, we strive to cultivate a classroom culture that puts children first and prioritizes communication, respect, and relationships over rote compliance, so our disciplinary practices incorporate mindfulness and align with positive and gentle parenting methods.
